Ocean Plantation
Is this on Log Hall or Log Haul Road? That depends on who you ask. Marlon Sheffield has lived on the road most of his life, and he is about the only person I know who has the inside scoop on the road's name. These oaks were planted within the past 100 years. At the time, the land was named Ocean Plantation. It later was known as Turkey Hill and Cyprus Woods. The name was recently changed back to Turkey Hill. Jason Mock of Ridgeland, South Carolina once roamed these woods. He used his vocal cords to call and kill such animals as White Tail Deer, Bobcats, and the elusive Wambat.

Jackson Creek
Between Lemon Island and Rose Island is a small creek that winds its way from the Broad River to Hwy 170. We recorded a plat at the Beaufort County Courthouse and named this body of water "Jackson Creek".
Singleton Beach, Hilton Head Island
I rode the waves at Singleton Beach in the late 70's as David hit Savannah. The waves were 10 feet and smooth as glass. My Dad owned an old two-story house on the beach and we would hang-out. The house was rustic and weathered. I wish we still had it. Singleton is on the of the few places on Hilton Head where you can enjoy the ocean and a creek.
Sunday Morning Fog
The last two Sunday mornings have been thick fog. With church waiting, I could not take pictures. I snapped this one at 7:30 am last week on my way to church. Fishermen have hundreds of miles of salt water rivers, but they all seem to drop anchor at my dock.
